The Lumpy Troll

just jumped up on my desk, plopped her butt down between me and the keyboard and squeakily farted. ZOMG  =(

I’ve been awake since 5

Because as cute as cats can be? They can also be furry little assholes from hell. I love my girls but I love sleep too. Plus being awake means I have time to worry about the blood draw I have scheduled later =(

If I shine the lazer on the lumpy cat’s tail she bites it!

Can’t breathe.

Yes, indeed.
Although today has been a series of events like that. Kiki and I just clonked heads accidentally while I was getting ready to toss her favorite toy for her to fetch. It hurt me so it had to have hurt her. (Woo alliteration) But she kept on trucking like nothing happened. I’m sometimes concerned there’s nothing in that skull of hers.

Awww =(
We sometimes have concerns about Scamper (lumpy cat) that way. Her previous owners are convinced she is dumber than a bag of rocks however I watch her pretty closely still and I feel while she might not have sense ALL the time, she is still pretty clever. We took custody of her back in November and while she isn’t as graceful, sassy or manipulative as Epiphany she does deliberately act silly to break up uncomfortable situations and bad/ sad moods.

This is Kiki’s MO. Everyone calls her dumb but she does some pretty clever shit. And she’s manipulative as fuck at times because we don’t expect it of her. And she’s a great “oh, you’re in pain/angry/hurt? Cuddle time!” cat so that’s a super bonus

YES! When I was flipping my shit with a panic attack a couple nights back, after the physical symptoms had passed and I was a shivering lump wrapped in my shawl on the bed, Scamper burrowed under the shawl to become a lump of purr on my rib cage. She also knows when the internet is either pissing me off or depressing me. She’ll either stand on or climb over my shoulder on to the desk and rub her head and face in my hair while purring and chirping until I focus completely on her. While I’m thoroughly aware that she is probably just responding to pheromones, I do feel she is emotionally aware and intelligent too, well beyond just looking after the ‘food lady’.

They are friends. True story.

As seen on Nat Geo Wild.

Pictures from: http://photos.redeyechicago.com/redeye-unlikely-animal-friends-photos-nat-geo-wild-20121121/

Cute animals are required viewing on Sundays.

These are my ladies. Epiphany is on the left while Scamper is on the right, I think each photo kinda captures their general attitudes towards life. Oh and they are judgmental (from me most likely), manipulative (from manthing) critters.
