I know it looks like a lot but all this food clocks in at just over 500 calories. It’s also over half veggies ;)
So I mentioned earlier that I had to go get my medications sorted. That whole process can be a bit frustrating and I’m still struggling with anxiety while outside the house so once I’ve taken care of that I’ve made a habit of treating myself. Today I had really lovely Miso soup and pork Gyoza at The Little Panda which is located in Ocean Terminal.
Miso soup is one of those dishes that is so simple it’s easy to screw up. This had the perfect amount of salt and the tofu was firm but silky. The seaweed was exquisite with just the right amount of tooth and displayed it’s properly refreshing bright note against the savoury broth.
The Gyoza are the best I’ve had since relocating to the UK. The pork filling is good quality and moist. Their wrappers are tender without being doughy and each one is at least two generous mouthfuls. The soya based dipping sauce is quite sharp but it cuts the rich pork perfectly.
Together the cost was just under 9£ which is pretty reasonable for good quality food situated in a giant tourist trap. I can easily see a trip to The Little Panda becoming my monthly treat and will be dragging anyone I can along. I’ll probably post more of their menu as I discover it.
